Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited enters into an agreement with Trinity Cleantech Private Limited
A Hyderabad based company to set up Electric 3-Wheelers and Electric 2-Wheelers DC Fast Charging Points in Uttar Pradesh
As the Electric vehicle adoption in India increases in unprecedented ways, Bharat Petroleum and Trinity Cleantech Pvt Ltd, a Hyderabad based company, have partnered together to further accelerate the adoption of EVs, by building dedicated fast charging points for 2W and 3Wheelers. BPCL and TCPL have signed the Agreement for a period of 3 years which is extendable for another 2 years on mutually agreed terms and conditions.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune 500 and a Fully Integrated Maharatna Energy Company and Trinity Cleantech Private Limited(TCPL) which is a Hyderabad based company has signed an agreement to set up DC Fast Charging Stations for Electric 3-Wheelers and Electric 2-Wheelers in UP. As a part of this agreement TCPL would start its first installation in Ayodhya at BPCL Energy Stations and support the launch of EV autos for the Temple inauguration event which will be inaugurated by Hon’ble PM of India.
This agreement between BPCL and TCPL will give EV adoption a boost and will also provide a network of DC Fast Charging stations to the existing Electric 3-Wheelers (e3Ws) and Electric 2-Wheelers (e2ws) across major cities of Uttar Pradesh.Under this agreement, TCPL will initially focus on cities such as Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Noida, Saharanpur and Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh to set up DC Fast Charging Stations at BPCL Outlets in the state.

The MoU was signed by Rahul Tandon, CGM (Marketing) Retail, BPCL and Raj Kumar Medimi, Chief Executive Officer, TCPL in presence of Santosh Kumar, Executive Director Incharge Retail, BPCL and Surender Nath Mandem, Director- TCPL.
TCPL will be responsible for setting up the EV fast-charging stations at BPCL Retail Outlets adhering to BPCL standards and Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) norms for civil and electrical work. As part of the agreement, the DC Fast Chargers will be co-branded and installed in the outlets of BPCL across major cities of UP.
TCPL, a leading Charge Point Operator with over 800 EV Charging Stations in the country, will be responsible for the Safety, operations and maintenance of these DC Fast Charging Stations. They will also be responsible for generating Demand, managing customer complaints and the operations and maintenance of the fast chargers.
This association will pave way to eliminating range anxiety in a one of its kind initiative in India, where these charging points can handle vehicles of 20V to 120V with a current dispensing capacity of 100 Amps per hr. The same would enable an electric 2-wheeler of 20Ah battery to get fully charged in less than 12 mins making it a perfect solution for busy urban roads and especially for commercial drivers and delivery agents.
Speaking on the occasion of signing the MoU, Rajkumar Medimi, Chief Executive Officer, Trinity Cleantech Private Limited said, “This is a milestone for Trinity Cleantech Private Limited as we get access to BPCL’s wide network of petrol pumps across the country. This will help us set up DC Fast Charging stations which will not only give confidence to the industry but will also make life convenient for existing e3Ws and e2Ws owners. We are hoping that this partnership will give the necessary fillip to boost EV adoption as well as help fight vehicular pollution and ease the environmental conditions.”
TCPL has laid a strong foundation for charging infrastructure through its intelligent substations for smart charging solutions for all EVs. TCPL has created more than 30 MW of charging infra till date.
