Eicher Trucks & Buses hosts Women Transporters Delegation

Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles, successfully hosted the second Woman Transporters Delegation at its state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 Bhopal plant. This initiative in collaboration with veteran industry personality Girish Mirchandani, underscores Eicher’s commitment to fostering inclusion in the Indian CV industry. Anchored in Eicher’s ‘Nayi Soch, Naye Raaste’ philosophy, the event provided a dynamic space for women leaders in transport to exchange ideas, share insights, and explore opportunities in a rapidly transforming industry. With the CV sector’s growing emphasis on digitization, alternative fuels, and intelligent mobility solutions, the knowledge sessions delved into emerging trends, industry challenges, and the evolving role of women in transport.
Over two days, delegates engaged in a comprehensive lineup of activities. The event opened with an exclusive tour of Eicher’s Bhopal plant, showcasing the all-women Eicher Pro X assembly line with Industry 4.0 manufacturing processes followed by visits to robotized cab line and the latest generation paint shop. Interactive sessions with VECV Executive Management and Senior Women Leaders provided a platform for the women delegation to discuss key industry shifts and opportunities. A highlight was the test drive experience, where participants explored Eicher’s latest innovations, including the Eicher Pro X EV and Eicher Pro 2055 EV. Panel discussions covered the impact of alternative fuels, AI and digitization and the need for driver and mechanic-first approaches, fostering meaningful conversations on the future of mobility and inclusivity in the CV industry.
Welcoming the participants, Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO VECV, said, “At Eicher Trucks and Buses, we firmly believe that inclusivity and diversity strengthen businesses and drives growth. Technology and digital solutions are transforming the industry, making businesses smarter and more efficient. While we are taking steps to improve diversity and inclusion internally through initiatives like an all-woman assembly line in Bhopal, we thank you for working with us to foster innovative approaches in the commercial vehicle industry."
“The Indian CV industry is transforming rapidly, guided by honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Seven Cs for mobility solutions: Common, Connected, Convenient, Congestion-free, Charged, Clean, and Cutting-edge.
