Honda Cars India achieves key milestone in advancing Active Safety
Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), a leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, has reached an important sales milestone with 50,000 ADAS enabled Honda cars now on Indian roads. This achievement underscores HCIL’s commitment to Honda’s global vision of “Safety for Everyone” and its goal to achieve zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles by 2050.
Honda SENSING, Honda’s intelligent ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology, was first introduced in India with the launch of Honda City e:HEV in May 2022, India’s first mainstream strong hybrid electric vehicle. Recognizing the growing importance of safety, HCIL has been expanding its application to other models in its line up viz Honda City (March 2023), Honda Elevate (September 2023), and most recently, in Honda Amaze (December 2024). The All-New 3rd Generation Amaze is the most affordable ADAS enabled car in India making this advanced safety technology accessible to a wider range of customers.

Pioneering safety innovation, HCIL became the first automaker in the country to introduce ADAS in manual transmission (MT) variants with the Honda City in 2023. Currently V, VX and ZX grades of Honda City, ZX grade of Honda Elevate and ZX grade of Honda Amaze are all equipped with Honda SENSING in both MT and CVT and as a standard offering in Honda City e:HEV.
