In 2025, the state aims to expand its offerings with initiatives like India's first inter-state cruise route, a new international convention center in Bhopal, and the promotion of niche sectors like rural and textile tourism. With a focus on enhancing connectivity, showcasing its unique heritage through innovative campaigns, and developing new tourism destinations, Madhya Pradesh is determined to solidify its position as a must-visit destination for travellers worldwide.
The state achieved international acclaim with record-breaking performances at Tansen Samaroh, Gita Mahotsav, and Khajuraho Dance Festival, all setting Guinness World Records. Six new sites were added to India's tentative UNESCO World Heritage list, with Orchha nominated for the permanent list. The state launched India's first intrastate air service, promoted women's empowerment through initiatives like 'Amaltas' hotel, and focused on sustainable tourism with the Sarsi Island Resort. Madhya Pradesh was honoured as the "Best Tourism State of the Year" at the prestigious Travel and Tourism Conclave.
